backstory and basic info

For those who may not know:
The Falls Church Episcopal split from the Episcopal church around 2006 and became Anglican. John Yates and the majority of the church body supported the split, so though they moved to a new building, when we refer to the Falls Church Anglican (TFCA for short) we are referring to more or less the same church that was overseeing Cornerstone from 1990-2001. John Yates has since retired and there is now a new head rector, Sam Ferguson.

As far as we know, the first report(s) of sexual abuse occurred around 2007, and there were subsequent reports of sexual abuse and grooming in 2015, 2021, and perhaps other years as well.

In the fall of 2023, TFCA hired an independent investigator named Eddie Isler to interview former students, parents, and staff. The report that Eddie gathered was released via email and the church website on Thursday April 18th 2024. You can find that report here

The FBI is conducting its own investigation, separate from Eddie and TFCA. They are not affiliated with TFCA in any way. We highly recommend submitting a tip to the FBI tip line if you think that you know anything at all that may help them. It feels weird to just submit an online form in hopes that someone sees it, but we promise it works! Be specific with names and places so they can connect it to their case, but we promise they are watching it.
